Lighting installation, video documentation, Zoological Museum of Moscow University, Moscow, September 2022
Created the lighting installation for a music event held at the Zoological Museum of Moscow University.
In this project, I designed a lighting installation for a music event by local DJs and sound designers at the Zoological Museum of Moscow University. It became a dream space from the movie “Night at the Museum”: glass stillages with animal mummies from different ages, old paintings hanging on walls, and four storey ceiling made us feel that we could revive the local inhabitants of the Museum by turning the light.
Biological patterns formed the main part of the installation: moving and reflecting, they reminded the sky-like ceiling living its own small 6-hour performance. With my colleague Georgy Samunjyan, we tried to create a new visual experience for the museum’s visitors while DJs and sound designers were playing their live sets.
